History of ISKCON Sri Sri Radha Govind Dham
A small ISKCON centre was established on Ashram Road in 1978. The foundation stone for the present large temple building was laid by Prabhupada on 24 November 1977 (Vaikuntha Ekadashi); the temple opened in 1984 and has since grown into a prominent Vaishnav temple complex with a Govinda's restaurant and cultural spaces.
