Bhureshwar Mahadev Temple

Local legend holds that Lord Shiva and Mata Parvati stood at this very peak to witness the Kurukshetra War of the Mahabharata. The shrine is closely associated with the Renuka Ji and Haripurdhar pilgrimage circuit of Sirmour. The annual jatra is held on the eve of Maha Shivratri. A 1.5-km dirt track climb from the road head, the shrine is approachable by bike in good weather but a four-wheel drive is recommended during the monsoon. The original temple structure was whitewashed in 2018 and is maintained by the local gram panchayat.
